You were talking about how I was not listeningBut I was admiring the line of your nose curvingHow elegant I thought, how fine as I focused back at your urgingIn time to hear your scolding

About

Fiction is what I make my name in, thus I am posting poetry anonymously. I thought that if anyone knew I had written poetry they’d think I’ve lost my mind. Well, I have written poetry, for nearly twenty years–I’ve simply never had the gumption to attempt to publish it. My intention here is to post only what I consider my best work; I believe it speaks for itself.

My posting here is meant to be shocking, funny, irreverent, controversial, disturbing, reflective and potentially career destroying (!). Ah, but life is to be lived, yes?

Some of my influences include Jim Harrison, Rainer Maria Rilke, Gerard Manly Hopkins, Basil Bunting, Robert Hass, Allen Ginsburg, Yves Bonnefoy, Pablo Neruda and Federico Garcia Lorca, etcetera.
